We released a video clip a couple weeks ago that hinted at what Calexico had been cooking up for the past two years since Garden Ruin. The brief audio sample played throughout that clip was only a snippet of the expansive, sonically-blooming track that is “Two Silver Trees.”
As you'll soon find out for yourself, "Two Silver Trees" is an ideal introduction to Carried To Dust (9/9/08), the next chapter from our boys Calexico.

Here's the latest preview clip from The New Year in support of their forthcoming self-titled record, out September 9. Strap yourself in...the water might get a little choppy.
Earlier today, Ted Leo appeared on the NPR program The Bryant Park Project. During the 15 minute session he spoke about band names, the meaning behind “The Great Communicator”, and played some songs including a great cover of the Waterboys’ “Fisherman’s Blues” and a new tune. Listen to it all right here.
Also, coming up on Saturday, July 19, Ted will be doing a DJ set at the Siren Fest in New York City. If you are attending the festival make sure to stop by and watch him rip some tunes.
